Constitution Day Activity #1 – Free Constitution Day Booklet
This printable booklet is just what you need for Constitution Day in the early grades. It’s written in a way that kids can easily understand.
It comes with two versions, so you can choose the one that works best for your students or use the versions to differentiate.

Activity #2 – Constitution Day Craft
Create a patriotic American flag display and show off your students’ learning with this fun writing craft. It’s perfect for Constitution Day or to wrap up your USA history unit on the Constitution any time throughout the year.
Pick a prompt, like why is the Constitution important. Then, write directly on the white stripes of the flag or use the graphic organizers and stationery to work through the entire writing process.
Tip: This Constitution craft looks great displayed on a bulletin board or in the hallway.

Activity #4 – Watch A Video
Another easy activity for Constitution Day is watching a video about the Constitution. Liberty’s Kids has a fantastic video about the Constitution that will educate and entertain your kids. It’s as simple as clicking play. You could even have your students color their free Constitution Day booklets while they watch the movie!
Tip: If you have snack time in your classroom, it’s a great time to show an educational video.
Constitution Day Activity #5 – Make A Mini-Book
If you’re looking for an activity that goes a little more in-depth & is perfect for your students to take home and show off their learning or that can be displayed on the bulletin board, check out this mini-book. It covers all the essential Constitution-related topics like the Constitutional Convention and how the Constitution was written.
You can use the mini-book in different ways. Do a group lesson and complete it together, assign it as an independent project after learning about the Constitution, or use it as an assessment at the end of the unit.
